Shifting priorities

Today is Friday. Good Friday.

I thought trout fishing was something done in rivers, in places like Montana. Billy Baker informs me otherwise. Another great article.

New Tesla models will move shifting from the traditional stalk position to the touchscreen. You know, the touchscreen that you sometimes have to reboot while driving. No one, apart from Elon Musk, thinks this is a good idea. Canadians want to know how you would use the touchscreen to rock your car out of a snowbank. (It’s easy, one Redditor replied: “Just press Menu > Regional Settings > Canada > environmental override > inclement weather > winter > snow > directional system > rock car.” Sounds simple enough.) Happy driving.

Microsoft is making an almost $22 billion dollar deal with the Army to provide augmented reality headsets. That’s a lot of money for unproven technology. Here’s how Microsoft describes the benefits: “The program delivers enhanced situational awareness, enabling information sharing and decision-making in a variety of scenarios.” That sentence should set off BS detectors everywhere.

And Sarah Palin is a pro-masker. It’s cool to wear a mask, she says. OK, then.
